摘要
In this research, a wide band metamaterial based electromagnetic absorber is designed and analyzed. The absorber consists of split ring resonators on the top of which resistive sheets are placed. The split ring resonators are excited by the magnetic flux passing through them. At resonance frequency the input impedance of the absorber approaches to that of free space (377 Omega) due to which maximum energy absorption occurs. Absorption efficiency, maximum up to 95% is achieved from 17-19 GHz frequency range both for TE and TM polarizations.
