摘要：

We propose some estimators for the estimation of population variance in single- and two-phase sampling. The estimators are proposed based upon information of multiple auxiliary variables. We obtain the mean square error of the proposed estimators and compare them with some existing estimators. We have also conducted an empirical study for both single- and two-phase sampling.
