An iron/scintillator tile calorimeter for the focus experiment at Fermilab

摘要
E831/FOCUS fixed target experiment at Fermilab has completed its data taking period. It collected more than 6x10(9) events in about 1 year (one Of the highest charm statistics ever). This result has been made possible by the usage of a fast hadron calorimeter in the first level trigger. A description of such a tile sampling calorimeter (iron/polystyrene scintillator) along with performances will be given.
