摘要
The comprehensive handle evaluation system for yarns and fabrics (CHES-FY) was developed based on multiple properties through single test in principle to measure and characterize weight, bending, friction, tensile (shearing) and thickness properties with a pair of jaws and three-point beam structure. The measurement of tensile property was only analyzed in the paper. The tensile indexes were obtained through theoretical analysis and modeling under adopting Euler's frictional equation, which included tensile elastic constant,. slope, work, linearity and extension before and after friction force involved between sample and surface of three-point beam, structure. Correlation coefficients between tensile elastic constants (E-1 and E-2) and (E-3) measured by CHES-FY and KES-FB1 were 0. 857 and 0. 870, respectively; in addition, the higher the tensile elastic constant is, the smaller the tensile work and the extension are; the tensile work also increases with the increase of extension. Comparisons and correlations of tensile indexes obtained from the pulling-out curve between theoretical and experimental results indicate that the theoretical modeling of tensile is effective and accurate in measuring tensile indexes, and the CHES-FY system can be utilized to characterize tensile properties of fabrics.
