The first Pierre de Coubertin National Committees of South America were formed by an international organization called the Latin American Center for Coubertinian Studies, which currently has associates from several countries. Annual activities have increased, taking advantage of the special circumstances produced by the current Pandemic. At the II Latin American Symposium, held in Pereira (COL) 2019, the presidents of National Committees Pierre de Coubertin analysed different possibilities originally oriented to Olympic Studies. It was agreed that the sustainability of the educational proposal of Pierre de Coubertin, and its Olympic values are an object of interest for the Educational Systems of Latin America, at the primary and secondary levels, and the subsequent university focus. The idea of promoting research, academic treatment, and training processes for Latin American trainers around this issue arose with great energy. The CLEC will then have as its object of study, the life, work, and legacy of Pierre de Coubertin, promoting both study, research, and training around the Olympic Values, in different and frequent international activities. The CLEC is based on the logic of operation of teaching, research, and extension, and is presented as an open and participatory proposal. It maintains the Coubertinian Ideology, because it preserves hope in the youth and in Education of Latin America and the Caribbean. The CLEC is invariably identified with Pierre de Coubertin, expressing his vast legacy, with the youth of Latin America and the Caribbean, and Education in Values as a fundamental tool to shape the future.
