摘要：

With development and prevalence of the Internet in China, cyber language has gradually attracted people's attention and become a new research focus. The past two decades witness dramatic achievements in cyber language studies. This paper traces back its origin and briefly analyzes its development, and then it reviews the current research situation, and existing problems as well as development trend in the future.
