摘要
Slave rebellions and resistances occurred since their arrival in the Western Hemisphere. In certain contexts, they showed greater presence. This text reviews the authors who analyze nineteenth-century Cuba, when the arrival of slaves in the island was greatest and their expressions of resistance against their situation grew with them. In order to do so, three historiographical trends that stand out from the final decades of the 20th century are taken into account, together with the aspects highlighted in each one: from the rebellions led by runaway slaves to cultural resistance among slaves, who used legal resources, or those who resisted more subtly in their daily lives.
