Line outage identification based on partial measurement of Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU)

摘要
In a large scale smart grid, it is critical to identify the line outages fast and accurately. In this paper, we propose a method to identify the line outages in a greedy fashion that has a satisfying accuracy, without introducing additional complexity, requiring only the PMU measurement of internal buses and topology information. Using sparse representation, the method can achieve real time identification. In addition, we also approach the problem from the probability inference perspective, using multiple random samples generated from an initial distribution to infer the real distribution of the line outage. Simulation tests on IEEE 118-bus systems show that the proposed method has advantages, such as high accuracy and good robustness.
