The free-radical polymerization of various N-vinyltriazoles in water, acetic acid, and their mixtures with acetonitrile was studied. It was shown that, For all the monomers in question, polymerization accelerates upon the addition of proton-donor solvents. The effect of the nature of the reaction medium on the kinetic parameters of polymerization and the molecular mass characteristics of the resulting polymers in relation to the structure of N-vinyltriazoles is discussed.
