摘要
Spectroscopic studies on the wool surface modifications induced by UV excimer laser irradiation Previous. investigation results revealed the hydrophilicity improvement of wool textile surfaces after their exposure to exposure UV laser irradiation treatment. Such an improvement enhances the wool dyeing and finishing processes, fact that might be due to the change of the wool fibers, fibers surface a More reactive one In this paper, the chemical composition of the control and the laser treated wool surface Was characterized by an experimental protocol consisting in FTIR. ATR, XPS and reflection colorimetry. The experimental results are thoroughly discussed. The data obtained by means of these techniques have been correlated with the wettability of both UV laser treated and non treated fibres main characteristic used in the evaluation of the processability within some subsequent textile technologies suitable for some industrial purposes.
