"Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", Philip K. Dick asked in 1968. Half a century later, Werner Herzog echoed this question with his documentary on Reveries of the Connected World. The article outlines some of the conclusions for the history of science that can be drawn from this shift from androids to the Internet.
