Corrected and improved coordinates for galactic carbon stars. I. The Westerlund stars

摘要
Accurate J2000 positions have been determined for the carbon stars discovered by Westerlund in his 1971 survey of the southern Milky Way. Cross-identifications with USNO B-1.0 and IRAS objects have been made. A number of errors in the listings of these objects in the General Catalog of Galactic Carbon Stars and in the SIMBAD database were detected and corrected.
