Cluster decay of 230U via Ne emission

摘要
By using glass track detectors in 4 pi geometry we measured the branching ratio of U-230 for emission of Ne clusters to be B = (4.8 +/- 2.0) x 10(-14) and an upper limit for O-18 emission from Th-226 to be B < 3.2 x 10(-14). On the basis of theoretical calculations, the most probable neon cluster comes out to be (22)Nc. <(c)> 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
