摘要
A novel architecture of database query processing has been presented in this paper. This architecture is built around Smart Ternary Content Addressable Memory (STCAM) architecture to achieve high performance and efficiency which are the fundamental criteria of database query processing. This proposed query processing architecture provides high throughput by faster processing of queries as multiple attributes are compared concurrently. It is also highly scalable architecture to provide fast processing of more number of query attributes by the augmentation of more STCAMs in the design. Essentially all attributes are processed in a single clock cycle for the comparison takes place in STCAM, where search time complexity is O(1).
