摘要
One of the specific forms of "working with the past", typical for contemporary culture, as a result of the bizarre interaction of professional historical with non-professional post-modernist methods, is the so-called historical re-enactment movement. It emerged in Russia in the late 1980s as a result of a transfer from Western mass culture, this form of "work with the past" is gaining popularity. The article analyzes the main forms of activity of modern medieval clubs of historical re-enactment, as well as the cultural mechanism for the formation of the social identity of the modern Russian re-enactor.
