摘要
Durability of the reinforced concrete structures is greatly affected by the corrosion of embedded bar. Concrete of excellent quality, sufficient cover to steel reinforcement, less water cement ratio are the most important factors to be considered to prevent the corrosion. Structures which are constructed as per the guidelines given by the code are subjected to reinforcement corrosion. Effective measures are most important to prevent this corrosion there by to make the structure more functional. The main objective this experimental work is to asses the condition of reinforced corroded concrete by Non Destructive testing methods (NDT). Scale model circular columns were cast and subjected to accelerated corrosion process in the laboratory and these specimens were used to carryout the NDT test. Physical, chemical and electrochemical parameters were considered to assess the quality of corroded concrete. From the experimental data an equation also suggested for compressive strength of corroded concrete.& nbsp; (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
