摘要
Micro electrode array is a novel tool to measure in-situ neural physiology. However, the quantitative analysis tools for design parameters of micro electrodes are deficient by now. This paper systematically introduced finite element simulation for electrode materials and electrical characteristics design, then Monte-Carlo statistical model was adopted to determine the film particle diameter and effectiveness of uniform film on the electrode surface, which provided relevant data analysis and theoretical evaluation for validity of cell and electrode coupling. Based on this, a method of an easily fabricated micro electrode array was introduced and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy has been used to characterize the 8-channel 30 mu m-wide-Ni-Cr electrode array. Therefore, a stepwise expansion of the chip leading to biomedical fields for CNS screening applications is illustrated.
