摘要
The engraving prints made by intaglio and relief techniques usually appear as black and white images consisting of a huge number of binary lines. Various textures and gray scales are obtained by changing the direction and densities of the lines in the engraving. In our previous work, we proposed an application for pseudo-color' engraving prints. In this contribution, we present an improvement of that method, leading to better resulting images. The proposed method can be done in real time using a white light optical correlator. The different color channels, R, G, and B could be encoded simultaneously using a color film for filter representation. In this way the pseudo-coloring process can be done in one cycle of the optical correlator.
