摘要
A research model incorporating work and non-work stressors work-family conflict, active and escapist coping and individual well-being was tested in a large sample of police officers. About 400 police officers participated by completing anonymous questionnaires. Concepts in the model were assessed using multiple item scares having satisfactory psychosometric properties. Two well-being outcomes, job satisfaction and psychosomatic symptoms were considered. LISREL analyses were undertaken in which relationships among all variables in the model were considered simultaneously. Use of active coping was negatively related to use of escapist coping; escapist coping was positively related to work-family conflict and psychosomatic symptoms while active coping was positively related to job satisfaction.
