摘要
This paper reports some preliminary results obtained on the effect of Fe, Co, Zn substitution on the thermal expansion of high T(e) superconducting compounds Gd(1)Ba(2)(Cu(1-x)M(x))(3)O(7), M= Fe, Co, Zn for 0 <= x <= 2%. All the samples are single phased. The pure sample exhibited a jump of about 6.9x 10(-8) per Kelvin. It is observed that the jump in thermal expansion increases for dopants occupying Cu(1) sites, whereas for dopants which occupy Cu(2) sites, a decrease in jump in thermal expansion is observed.
