摘要：

This paper explains and demonstrates the calculations of eddy current loss in surface-mount permanent magnet motors using a finite element method. It takes into account the motor's commutation, space and time harmonics. It also quantifies the effectiveness of using various rotor materials to reduce these losses. (C) 2006 Elsevier B. V.
