摘要
The change of microstructure for a super duplex stainless steel SAF 2507 during hot rolling was investigated. Its evolution during hot deformation was very different in each phase. The dominant restoration mechanism for ferrite and austenite were dynamic recovery (DRV) and dynamic recrystallization (DRX), respectively. Also, the effect of temperature on the deleterious phase precipitation was investigated. The specimens were heat treated isothermally in the temperature range 800 degrees C to 1000 degrees C. Hardness tests, and optical and scanning electron microscopy were used to detect the sigma phase.
