摘要：
A design of a miniaturized stepped open slot antenna (SOSA) for UWB applications is presented. The proposed SOSA consists of a stepped open slot antenna, L-shaped slots, and a strip director. L-shaped slots are inserted on the ground plane of the SOSA to create a resonance in the low frequency, which reduce the size of the SOSA. A strip director is appended to the SOSA in order to increase the gain in the middle and high frequency regions. The fabricated SOSA has a frequency band of 3.02-11.04 GHz for a VSWR < 2, which assures the operation in the UWB band, and the measured gain ranges 3.0-6.5 dBi in the band.
