摘要
This paper presents an analytical method for flexible resource adequacy assessment of power system with a high share of renewables. The proposed flexible resource adequacy assessment method can assess an annual flexible capacity requirement based on the duration curve models of net-load fluctuations regarding operational reserve requirements. The duration curve models can represent the occurrence probabilities of the amount and speed of net-load variations and generation resource mixes are treated as parameters. The method can not only assess reserve capacity (flexible resource) adequacy (e.g. secondary and tertiary reserves) in addition to power supply adequacy, but also analyze trade-off between adequacy and economy. A reliability criteria for reserve capacities can be examined by using the proposed method. The concept of the proposed method is numerically tested with typical power supply and demand balance problems.
