摘要
In this work, the densities of six binary mixtures containing N, N-dimethylcyclohexylamine (DMCHA) and n-pentanol, n-hexanol, n-heptanol, n-octanol, n-nonanol or n-decanol were measured at temperatures from (288.15 to 323.15) K and 0.1 MPa, over the full range of composition. Molar volume (V-m), thermal expansion coefficient (alpha(p)), excess molar volume (V-m(E)), apparent molar volume (V-phi), apparent molar volume at infinite dilution (V-phi(infinity)), partial molar volume (V)and excess partial molar volumes (V-E) were calculated according to experimental density values. The results show that V-m(E) values are negative ranging from (-1.0896 to 0) cm(3).mol(1) and the minimum is observed around DMCHA mole fraction of 0.4 for all studied systems and temperatures. The variation of V-m(E) value with composition and temperature were discussed and explained from molecular size and intermolecular interactions, namely dispersion forces and hydrogen bonds between DMCHA and alcohol. Furthermore, V-m(E) values were also correlated using Redlich-Kister polynomial equation with the largest deviation of 0.019. (C) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
