摘要
A novel technique is proposed to enhance the gain of a rectangular dielectric resonator antenna over a wideband range of frequencies. The proposed antenna structure has a relative bandwidth of 27.5 in the 60GHz band (16GHz of absolute bandwidth), and a peak realized gain of 12.6dBi. The simulated antenna radiation efficiency goes up to 96. A printed electromagnetic bandgap technology has been used to feed the antenna and eliminate any parasitic radiation from the feedline.
