摘要：

The paper gives the results of the study on the use of electroless nickel (EN), TiN, CrN and DLC, coatings on AISI 52100 on bearing steel balls for use in water lubricated conditions. TiC, TiN, DLC coatings on the bearing steel had failed in preliminary evaluation mainly due to poor adhesion. Four-ball tester has been used for the endurance test of the EN coated halls. The results of this preliminary work has clearly demonstrated that EN coatings can be successfully used for this application.
