摘要
Sol-gel zirconia was sulfated with sulfuric acid. Samples were analyzed with X-ray powder diffraction and thermogravimetry; crystalline phases were refined via Rietveld method. The samples annealed at 600 degreesC crystallized into nanocrystalline tetragonal zirconia when they were prepared with acetic acid, but they crystallized into a mixture of zirconium sulfide, zirconium oxide sulfide, and zirconium sulfate when they were prepared with hydrochloric acid or ammonium hydroxide. The sulfation of the samples prepared with acetic acid also stabilized the tetragonal zirconia. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
