摘要
This paper pertains to a larger research whose purpose is to relate domestic crimes to the express criminal penalties. This study broaches the subject of gender-based violence, legal liability, the role of women in criminality conceivably increasing, and men and women being probable domestic violence victims. Domestic violence in Mozambique is defined as a set of facts engendering a condemnable or ruthless deed. Such act is deemed a transgression of an individual's rights and liberty in that it is unlawful and entails a penalty enforcement in the event of a domestically perpetrated crime. Considering the equality and universality principle for men and women under the law, in all life areas, is legal liability differently engendered in terms of gender? To what extent are men and women the victims of domestic violence in the said African country?
