摘要：
Free-surface elastic deformation of a semi-infinite solid has been investigated after the formation of axisymmetric tracks of amorphous materials due to solid irradiation with high velocity particles. The normal component of the elastic displacement of the free surface has been determined analytically as a function of the diameter of the track, its distance to the free surface and its angle with regard to the free surface normal.
