Lithium niobate has been rejuvenated for integrated photonics by development of thin-film wafers of the material on silicon substrates. Recent advancement of devices and circuits demonstrated on this maturing platform for nonlinear-optical applications is reviewed. (c) 2021TheAuthor(s)
