摘要
To demonstrate the mechanism of coal and gas outburst, this paper analyzes the outburst of coal and gas, according to the catastrophe theory that is the important branch of the essential theory of non-linear science: It also discusses the inherent dynamic characteristics of the system that would probably cause coal and gas outburst. The systematic and theoretical analysis of the gestation and outburst process of coal and gas outburst on an intuitive basis' were made by setting up the cusp catastrophe model of coal and gas outburst. The mechanism and qualification,of coal and gas outburst is gained. All of these bring forward a new theoretical basis for the forecast and avoidance of coal,and gas outburst.
