摘要
Weeds are rarely evenly distributed on arable land. Heterogeneous weed densities and distributions open up the possibility for farmers to apply herbicides on a site -specific basis. This results in considerable saving potential for the consumption of plant protection products. Modern technologies such as direct injection systems and various weed detection and mapping methods are the technical basis for this procedure. It can be seen that ongoing development and research since the 1980 s has advanced the process a long way. In the future, site-specific weed control can help to save pesticides and create biodiversity on arable land.
