IR spectral investigation of xCuO(100-x)[2B2O3•TeO2] glass system

Samples belonging to xCuO(100 - x)[2B(2)O(3). TeO2] vitreous system with 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 30 mol% CuO were investigated by FTIR spectroscopy in order to obtain information about the influence of CuO on the local order from 2B(2)O(3). TeO2 glass matrix. The interpretation of the obtained vibrational spectra revealed the presence of BO3 units and boroxol rings in the structure of investigated borate-tellurite glasses. No BO4 units were detected.
