摘要
The present work has been carried out to quantify the natural radiation exposure levels of uranium radium, thorium. and potassium (U-238, Ra-226, Ra-228, Th-228, K-40) in beach sand samples taken from the coast of Pieria Prefecture in Greece. The results have shown that the annual doses equivalent for the studying areas range from 304 to 497 muSv per year, which is quite below the maximum annual permissible dose of 1500 muSv.
