Superplasticity in a relatively coarse-grained AZ61 magnesium alloy

摘要
The observations on superior superplasticity in a relatively coarse-grained AZ61 magnesium alloy were discussed. The strain rate versus elastic modulus-compensated stress relations for the Mg alloys based on the strain-rates-change tests performed at various temperatures were also provided. The activation energies for plastic flow were computed and tensile-elongation-to-failure tests were also conducted at various strain rates. The results indicated large tensile elongations in the magnesium alloys with a relatively large grain sizes at high strain rates.
