摘要
An experiment was conducted during summer season of 1991 and 1992 to find out the response of maize (Zea mays L.) legume intercropped systems to different irrigation levels under temperate condition of Kashmir. Irrigation level of IW (irrigation water 65 mm); CPE (cummulative pan evaporation 86 mm) 0.75 gave the maximum optimum maize yield and maize-equivalent yield, which was at par with IW:CPE 1.0. The water expense with optimum IW:CPE 0.75 regime was 30.4 cm and water-expense efficiency the maximum (126 kg/ha-cm). Maize + cowpea [Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.] and maize + greengram (Phaseolus radiatus L.) recorded significantly highest maize-grain yield but maize + field bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) gave the highest maize-equivalent yield.
