摘要
With the aim of testing grafting in order to improve salt tolerance, a tomato hybrid (cv. 'Durinta') was grafted on five rootstocks being used commercially in the Mediterranean area due to the their resistance against soil borne diseases. The effect of rootstocks was assessed by growing plants in a soilless system at two EC levels (2.8 and 8.8 dS/m) in a spring-summer cycle. The results show that, in general, there was no interaction between rootstocks and salt stress level. However, the choice of rootstocks seems to represent a useful strategy to face salt stress conditions in relation to the significant effects on yield level coupled with a moderate influence on qualitative characteristics.
