摘要
Tool profiles for ideal plastic deformation of thick-walled tubes in reduction and extension are calculated. In the case of ideal plastic deformation principal stresses coincide with the stream lines and normal to the stream lines, with the result of homogeneous plastic strain distribution through the tube wall thickness and minimum deformation force. Ideal plastic deformation considered for Mises rigid-plastic solid with work hardening effect of the tube material included. Ideal tool profiles can be realized in practice using digital controlled machine tools and surface coating to eliminate contact friction.
