Direct observation of vacuum ultraviolet emission from alternating-current plasma display panel

摘要
Here is presented direct observation of vacuum ultraviolet radiation from alternating-current plasma display (AC-PDP) with Ne/Xe gas mixtures. Measurement shows that high ultraviolet-radiation efficiency is attained especially for high Xe contents. The change of electron energy is also analyzed from Ne and Xe emission spectra. There is considerable effect of Xe contents on electron energy. Our experiment shows that electron energy directly affects the ultraviolet-radiation efficiency.
