摘要
Intercalation of optical dyes into deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) which was obtained from marine living things such as salmon or scallop resulted in thin films having various optical functiones. Fluorescence intensity of DNA films intercalated by non-linear optical (NLO) dyes increased more than 100-150 times in comparison with that of dyes themselves. Intercalation into synthetic DNA revealed that these optical dyes were inserted mainly into A-T layers, not into C-G layers of DNA. A strong laser emission was observed inDNA-lipid films which were intercalated by DMASDB dye and a novel film laser was developed. Moreover, photochromism of spiropyran-intercalated DNA-lipid films exhibited a good reproducibility of color changes by repeated irradiation of UV-visible light and a novel optical memory film was obtained. DNA-lipid complex was found to be miscible with conductive polymers such as poly (aniline) at any mixing ratios, resulting in novel hybrid membranes.
