摘要:
This paper presents a software tool used to predict and track the performance of a double loop computer network (DLCN). The examined network has two loops one for transmitting information called forward loop and the other for controls called backward loop. Performance of this network was tracked through checking its reliability specially if there exits a failure on a certain arc of it. This DLCN was elected to be examined through our designed software package because it has a high capability of using distributed control, variable message lengths and automatic traffic regulation. All these facilities are great advantages that characterize it among others. Concluding results clarifies that employing backward loop in case of a occurring a failure outperforms better than using forward loop only for various number of stations connected across this network.
