Anisotropic electrodynamics of MgB2 detected by optical reflectance -: art. no. 184514

摘要：
While the reflectance of the basal plane in MgB2 single crystals exhibits a single in-plane plasma edge at similar to16 000 cm(-1), an additional structure shows up at similar to22 000 cm(-1) in the spectra of the polycrystals, which we determine to be the interplane plasma edge. The observed double plasma edge provides evidence for the existence of distinct types of charge dynamics arising from the anisotropy, though some discrepancies remain between the present result and band calculations.
