The effect of an anionic surfactant on structure and supercapacitive properties of flower-like nickel oxide

摘要
Different amounts of dioctyl sulfosuccinate sodium (AOT) surfactant were used to synthesize NiO through hydrothermal method and their influence on morphology and capacitive properties has been researched. The physical properties of samples have been studied using thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction, Brunauer-Emmet-Teller, field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The hierarchical morphological structure observed in FESEM images.The AOT addition, increased the value of specific capacitance up to 156.29 Fg(-1) at the scan rate of 40 mV s(-1). The VSM experimental results demonstrated the ferromagnetic properties of the samples.
