摘要
Contemporary scientific educators are interested in understanding the relationships between science and religion, particularly investigating how they occur among their students and in the reality they experience, since this cultural baggage presents itself in classroom. Thus, this article aims to identify and analyse the main features and trends of investigations on the relationship between science teaching and religion, in order to provide updated subsidies for those who want or need it. Therefore, a review of theoretical literature on the science-religion relationship is presented, followed by relevant scientific production published between 2004 and 2020, which are gathered and analysed focusing on relationships between science teaching and religion. Among the results observed, it is high-lighted that relationships between religion and science are not homogeneous within the school (or outside it): different students, as well as different teachers, have different opinions, attitudes, and worldviews on the subject. In addition, researchers suggest pedagogical actions regarding the relationship between religion and science: knowledge about history of science as well as knowledge about history of the relationship between science and religion are reported as important tools and there is unanimity on the importance of combating the notion of conflict between science and religion.
