We developed a two-dimensional dosimetry system with a thermoluminescent (TL) sheet prepared from a mixture of LiF:Mg.Cu,P (NTL-250, Nemoto) and a copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE). The tissue-equivalent property of the TL sheet and a dosimetry system with the sheet were presented at the last conference (SSD14). However, the system left room for improvement in thermostability. In this paper, we review our investigation intending to reveal the causes of thermal problems, the sensitivity loss of LiF:Mg,Cu,P and the softening of the TL sheet below the melting point of the binder material, and to produce a prototype of a modified TL sheet with better thermostability.
