The results of research for electrophysical properties of detectors based on CdTe[Cl](CT) and Cd1-xZnxTe1-YSey[CI] (CZTS) single crystals grown by the vertical Bridgman method at our fabrication site for nuclear applications are presented here. It will be shown that doping crystals with Zn and Se can give better results. (mu tau)(e) and (mu tau)(h) values for the best CZTS detector samples were 1.8e-3 and 2.0e-4/V, respectively, which is mon than two times as much as their counterparts for CT detector samples. The energy resolution values (at T = 300 K) for CZTS and CT were < 10 and > 20 keV, respectively, At T = 240 K the energy resolution values were < 2 and > 6 keV, respectively. The high homogeneity of detectors based on detector- and discriminatory-quality CZTS enables wide use of such detectors in low-cost nuclear physics and medical applications.
