摘要
Despite efforts to the contrary, civil infrastructure performance in the United States continues to decline. Complex systems theory offers a promising new approach to modeling civil infrastructure systems and improving their management, ultimately leading to improved facility performance. This paper describes a proof-of-concept spreadsheet simulation of a pavement network and proposes an agent-based framework for modeling civil infrastructure systems.
