摘要
Vitamin D deficiency has been recognized as a pandemic with many negative health consequences in many countries. Today the mechanisms of anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective action of vitamin D-3 (cholecalciferol) and in general the scientific justification for its effective use in the clinic of type-2 diabetes (T2D) is actively studied in the scientific literature. We performed a review evaluating, that the treatment with vitamin D-3 may increase the chances for successful convalescence: reduction of inflammation and hepatic steatosis; an increase of glycemic control and insulin sensitivity. The above-mentioned issue necessitates a deep and comprehensive study of an important scientific problem, which is the need for clinical justification of the effectiveness of vitamin D-3 for the prevention and correction of metabolic disorders and structural and functional changes in the liver in T2D.
