摘要
The study of the role of axial compressive force in bending of the femur is carried out on a simplified mechanical model by the 2(nd) order theory. Amplification factor, defined as a ratio of the bending moment determined by the 2(nd) order theory to the one determined by the 1(st) order theory is obtained. As the magnitude of this factor reaches only up to 1.05, a conclusion is drawn that determination of stress in femur by the 2(nd) order theory has no practical significance.
